Hospital Director in Argentina Files Complaint Over Threats

The director of a hospital in the Chaco province has reported receiving threats from a unionist and employee of the health institute. In response, he decided to take action and notify the authorities, as the messages received recently had escalated in violence. Jaime Etchelouz, director of the June 4th Hospital in the Chaco city of Sáenz Peña, filed a complaint in recent hours against a prominent union leader of the Association of State Workers (ATE), who works in the hospital's administrative department, due to threats via audio messages and texts. It was learned that in recent hours the intimidations worsened, which prompted Etchelouz to file the complaint at the Fourth Police Station in the Puerta del Sol neighborhood, according to the Argentine News Agency. According to information from the Nova Chaco media outlet, everything began when the director asked a hospital worker to comply with the work schedules corresponding to him, as he did not have a union ruling that stated otherwise. For the moment, the identity of the accused has not been disclosed, who remains free, although restrictive measures have been imposed on him, such as prohibitions on accessing the medical center and approaching the director.
